Morebaya Port Terminal Project, Simandou, Guinea, Africa

This project involves the construction of a dedicated export port to support the development of the Simandou iron ore deposit. As Simandou is landlocked without direct sea access, a transnational railway spanning over 600 kilometers must be built to transport the ore to the Guinean coastline for loading and export.

Morebaya Port serves as the terminus of this railway and the ore loading point. It is currently one of the most closely watched and complex mega-projects in the global mining and infrastructure sectors. It is not only crucial for the development of the Simandou iron ore mine but also a core project with geopolitical significance, involving multiple stakeholders and interests.

NMFIRE supplied two sets of 5000 GPM UL/FM Vertical Turbine Sea Water Application Fire Pumps for this project.
